Q: Is this server really free to play?

Yes, completely free. No pay-to-win, no donation perks that affect gameplay. Everyone starts equal with 1000 coins and plays the same game.

Q: Can other players raid my base?

No! We run True PvE which means players cannot damage each other's structures outside of designated PvP zones. Your base is safe.

Q: Can other players steal from my boxes?

No. The Prevent Looting plugin protects all your storage containers. Only players you authorize in your Tool Cupboard can access your boxes.

Q: What is the server ping like from South Africa?

The server is hosted in South Africa specifically for local players. Expect 5-30ms ping from most SA locations — significantly better than international servers.

Q: How often does the map wipe?

Once a month, on the first Thursday. Blueprints, coins and backpack contents carry over through wipes.

Q: Do I lose my coins on wipe?

No! Your coin balance in the economy system carries over through every wipe. Only the map and structures reset.

Q: Can I play solo?

Absolutely. The server is designed to be enjoyable solo or in groups. PvE content like raidable bases, NPC events and farming all work perfectly solo.

Q: Are there admin abuses?

Admins do not play the economy (no farming, no coin advantages). We only use admin commands for server management and to help players.

Q: What if someone is breaking the rules?

Contact an admin through the website contact form or find us in game. Include as much detail as possible including the player name and what happened.

Q: How do I get the guild or owner tag in chat?

Owner and co-owner tags are set by admins. Player challenge titles (Hunter, Miner, etc) are earned automatically by being the top player in each category.

Q: Can I build anywhere on the map?

Yes, within the normal Rust building rules. You cannot build in monuments or inside other players' TC range without permission.

Q: Is there a Discord server?

We're working on setting one up! Check back soon or contact us through the website for now.

Q: How do the PvP zones work?

Certain areas on the map are designated as PvP zones. When you enter one, PvE protection is removed and you can fight other players. The zones are clearly marked on the map.

Q: How do I report a bug?

Use the contact form on this website or message an admin in game. Please describe what happened, where you were, and what you were doing when the bug occurred.

Q: Are sleeping players protected?

Yes! The Sleeper Guard plugin protects you while you are offline. Other players cannot damage or loot your sleeping body, so you can log off anywhere on the map safely.

Q: Do my team's blueprints get shared automatically?

Yes! When any team member researches or learns a blueprint, everyone in the team gets it automatically thanks to the Blueprint Share plugin.

Q: Will my doors close when I log off?

Yes! Team Offline Doors automatically closes all your doors and hides your stashes when the last team member logs off. No command needed.

Q: Can I change the skin of my items?

Yes! Type /skin in chat, drop the item into the box that appears, and browse available skins using the arrow buttons. Move the item back when done.

Q: Do I need a planter box to grow crops?

No! Just drop seeds from your inventory onto the ground and Plant Drop will automatically plant them wherever they land.

Q: Do my teammates get automatically authorized on my turrets?

Yes! Auto Turret Authorization syncs your TC auth list with all nearby turrets. Authorize someone on the TC and they're automatically added to turrets too.

Q: Will I lose my stuff if I die?

Your corpse stays on the map for 24 hours after you die, giving you plenty of time to get back to it. Use /home or /tpr to teleport back quickly.

Q: Do vehicles decay if I leave them outside?

Vehicles you have used recently are protected from decay for 7 days. You can also type /vclaim while looking at any vehicle to claim permanent ownership — claimed vehicles never decay.

Q: Will SAM sites shoot me down?

No! SAM sites on our server are configured to ignore players entirely. Fly your minicopter or hot air balloon safely anywhere on the map.

Q: Where is the PvP zone?

Currently there is one PvP zone at the Launch Site monument. You will see a dome and get an enter/leave message when crossing the boundary. PvP is only active inside that zone.

Q: How do I open the server info panel?

Type /info in chat at any time to open a full-screen panel with tabs covering rules, commands, economy info and contact details.

Q: Can I lock my vehicle so others cannot steal it?

Yes! Hold a code lock in your hand, look at your vehicle and deploy it just like a door lock. Only you and your team members can access a locked vehicle. You can also type /vcodelock or /vlock while looking at your vehicle.

Q: Can my team members access my locked vehicle?

Yes! Lock sharing is enabled for team members. If you lock a vehicle with a code lock, your team can access it without needing the code. Other players are completely locked out.
